Composters, or black gold

During the year, a lot of plant waste is collected on our plots. We can use them successfully as compost. The decomposition of plant residues gives a very valuable fertilizer, enriching the soil with organic matter. Compost is one of the most valuable substrates used for growing garden, balcony and home plants. Therefore, it is often compared to. . . gold!

Compost added to the soil:

  • supports soil formation processes
  • improves soil structure
  • improves water absorption (soil absorbs it like a sponge, not like a dried shell, from which water flows away quickly)
  • retaining water irrigates plants and supplies groundwater

Do you know that. . .

deciding to compost you reduce the mass of biodegradable waste, which by fermenting at the landfill produces methane and carbon dioxide, and these in turn exacerbate the effects of climate change.
